Ganesh is associated with decidedly non-destructive things, like removing obstacles, arts, sciences, intellect, wisdom, beginnings, learning, and letters. Furthermore, consider that Hindu has many adherents worldwide and that some might find it offensive regardless in the same fashion that someone might find a comic where Jesus fights Zeus offensive.
