What are your thoughts about dating or marrying a family member? Are you okay with it or do you think it's totally gross and wrong? What about dating/marrying family friends? Do you think it's just as wrong and disgusting as dating/marrying a family member? |

Yes, it's all wrong. Even nature thinks this is wrong as offsprings of two family members are more likely to have a disorder such as Down's Syndrome. |

I don't know how some people are crazy enough to think either is right. Blood-related or not, the child is just going to come out weird and awkward. |

Y'know, if it wasn't for genetics being wonky, I bet you more people would marry in-family... |

You'd at least keep the bloodline full of pureblood warriors. |

Blood related or not? So it's gonna come out weird and awkward even if you aren't blood related? Or do you mean step-family, in which case yeah, it'll probably have an awkward upbringing. Yes, it's wrong to date/marry family members. I don't see why you included family friends though, nothing wrong with that. |

My sister would agree with me that there's nothing disgusting or unnatural about it. If your sister could do what mine does with just her fingers and a hairdryer, then you'd understand. |

wot? Anyway ontopic, marrying/dating in-family is not actually disgusting, we simply think it is because of evolutionary reasons, genetics don't like it when you keep it in the family. But besides that there is no rational argument for our disgust. I really don't see how dating family friends is wrong, I didn't even know it was considered a taboo... I know married people who know each other because their family are friends and no one bats an eye. |

Don't take the name of the eastern warrior clan in vain. The bloodlust might rise in his superhuman incest veins. |

Family friends are too close with you. They're like relatives sometimes. Plus, since they're considered part of the family too, why would you want to anyways? There shouldn't be an explanation for this, you should just know it yourself. |

They're family friends, they are not considered part of the family... |

Having a child with a family member is more likely to result in genetic disorders popping up, so it's best avoided. As for family friends... Why? At the very worst you or someone else or me might be disgusted by the idea, but that's just the westermarck effect applying to childhood friends as well as family members (which it was intended for). |

I don't approve of relationships with family members. With close friends, sure, it may be awkward at first because at time you can be so close its like siblings but there is still a difference. I have friends who I am really close to and if I found them more attractive I wouldn't mind dating them. |
