So I have found AT wrote a manga called Jiya, its protagonist is Jiya ( what a twist! :P ) a member of the galactic patrol who ends up on Earth where he'll fight another powerful visitor from space ( I won't say more to avoid spoilers). My questions are: Has anyone read it? Do you know where i could find it so that i read it myself? Also, to those who read it, is it good?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I think a couple members mentioned it in another topic and said they enjoyed it. As far as I know there's no English translation for it in a physical copy (could be wrong, but I couldn't find one). It's against the rules to direct you to specific sites where you can read it, but Google is your friend.

I'm sure I already made a topic about this one.

Jiya is easily one of Toriyama's best one-shots. I highly recommend it.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Oh thanks, i just read it in english because i couldn't find it translated in italian, it was a really good story. A bit more mature (if you know what i mean :P ) and darker than DB, but I really love these kind of short stories which explore unknown or minor characters and add some more background/lore to the DBverse. Please if you know other short stories similar to this one tell me :)

Well, there's Neko Majin, Jaco, Sand Land, Kojika... Among many other stories Toriyama's written, some of which aren't linked to the DBverse but are still really good.

I recently read Jiya too. It's definitely one of the darker things toriyama has written and it was awesome. I thought jaco was when the galactic patrol stuff was put into the dbverse so I was surprised to hear about jiya

Neko majin and dr slump take place in the DBverse but they don't fit in the same continuity. Although Jiya is kinda questionable too. Go go ackman and sandland don't even fit in the DBverse at all from what I know. But definitely read them or at least sand land

But if you haven't read jaco, which for sure is part of DB and the mainstream continuity then go read it ASAP because that expands on it a lot of jaco is a really amusing character

Since this is venturing out of Jiya specifically and more into Toriyama's body of work, I'll post the ongoing topic we have so people can move the discussion there, rather than have two of the same topics: http://dbzf.co.uk/topic/10008294/3
