I don't see why people tryna hate on it for being a recolor when Super Saiyan was always a recolor in the first place. It's simple but noticeable change. The exact same design as SS1 ... recolored blue! Easy af for people to draw. And it's not like blue is an arbitrary color for it to be; blue represents calmness, and isn't that what SSB is about? Having calm, tranquil Ki or whatever? Y'all can call it lazy, but the whole point of it and SSG is to be simple. If Toei and Toriyama wanted, they could have whipped out another complex looking form like SS4. They said f*** it and made it look simple. C'mon, how can y'all tell me this doesn't look cool: SWAG. Name still sucks, though lol. Should have been called Super Saiyan God; the red form in Battle Of Gods should have just been called Saiyan God. Oooh, if Super Saiyan Blue was called Super Saiyan God, wouldn't Super Saiyan Devil be a good name for Super Saiyan Rose? Since pink is like the opposite of blue or something what do you think fam

Just lazy designs with an over the top name to make it look better then what it originally is. Saiyans becoming gods is laughable as well, how saiyans achieve the form makes no sense at all as well, since when are saiyans considered good to begin with. SSJB isn't unique at all as it's just SSJ with blue coloring.

It's literally ssj1...running on god ki. That's no reason it should evolve the form into something totally different. It's just enhancing the form I think it looks awesome. It looks... Ok with their original outfits. I think it looks great in their whis outfits though But yeah should've been called super saiyan God and the red for be called saiyan God. It'd be a lot better if it kept some of the other traits that made SS God look unique, like the skinny physique and visible pupils. That would go a long way in characterizing it as the successor to that form, and emphasize how it's simply using Super Saiyan as a container for that same power. Anyway, point is that Super Saiyan God had some unique elements to it, and it's disappointing that Super Saiyan Blue ditched them when it'd make every bit of sense to keep them and help the form stand out more to boot. It's bad enough that it really is just a pallet swap of Super Saiyan with the only real uniqueness being the aura as said. And I mean, in some cases I might be able to get over the design. But what I can't get over is the lack of effort put into the form. I don't care much for the Super Saiyan God form, I think it looks like partial Kaioken ripoff. I'd be lying though if I said there wasn't at least some history to it. We had some history with the form, we learned how it was created and the 6 Saiyans necessary. There was a huge build up to the forum when facing off against Beerus. Hell, the SSJ God transformations is often considered one of the better parts of Super. Even outside of the movie or series, they built "SSJ God" as something amazing. Questionable how well that worked...but they tried to build it up. What did we get with SSJ blue? Jack nothing. Goku suddenly walked out and turned his hair blue like he dipped his head into a frosty snow cone. We had no idea where it came from, we had no idea how he obtained it. We didn't even know it was called. One moment we're calling it "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan....which was a mouthful...now were calling "It Super Saiyan Blue." We're told that this form is meant to conserve energy yet apparently Vegeta's transformation wastes so much he can only 10% of his power later on. Vegeta straight up skips SSJ God and just goes straight to blue. We become confused on whether the form is actually stronger sometimes. Talk about a clusterf*** of a transformation.
