I wanted to hold off on this but I just had to chime in. Protests in California at USC started out peaceful but eventually devolved into violence and riots. The protest started when Breitbart editor in chief Milo Yiannopoulos was to give a speech at the university; which he was never able to do. So much for free speech... Here's what these protesters-turned-rioters don't realize. Every time they begin administering violence in their protests, they are slowly and little by little giving Trump more and more support to use Governmental powers against them or even incorporate Martial Law, and nobody wants Martial Law. Trump ran as the law and order candidate, it's safe to say by now he likes to do what he says he'll do. A young woman wearing a Trump hat at USC was pepper sprayed by some idiot guy. How sick is that? These rioters don't understand that the more violence they do, the closer they are becoming toward their own fears that Trump is dictatorial. Sarah Silverman has recently called for a military coup against Trump. Katy Perry called for a revolution on November 10th. Protesting is fine, but the more violence that happens the more approval you are giving Trump to do the very things that you fear. They think Trump is bad? Imagine if they had the National Guard surrounding there city and gave them all a curfew? Imagine how they would react then? I think there would be a cataclysm of exponential proportions... I fear martial law because martial law can easily lead to a change in Government, especially if the duration is long... It is irritating that there are celebrities essentially supporting this behavior, and it is irritating that people don't thin Thoughts? For those who haven't seen the video. Here it is.. It really makes me mad watching it... Spoiler: click to toggle

Weren't the rioters at Berkeley exclusively part of an anarchist group that's gone to multiple peaceful protests and stirred s*** for the sake of stirring s***? Like literally spray painting their anarchist symbol? Punching Richard Spencer too apparently.

It's somewhat difficult to convince anarchists to listen to either side. There's not much they can do about it. If Trump's well informed about this, blaming anyone else other than anarchists would be in poor taste and honestly wrong to do. He's on the highest pedestal of power in the United States that one person can attain, he NEEDS to be held to a higher standard. Edited by Goddess Ultimecia, Feb 3 2017, 12:47 AM.

Some of your comment made sense, but not all, and here's why. If you go on cnn.com they have "Milo wants to give scholarships to whites" there's nothing about the violence and riots at Berkeley. Yes Trump shouldn't blame everyone, but how do you distinguish the difference? Not all people know they are anarchists, hell, I didn't even know until you told me and I like to stay informed. What if I post a video where BLM calls for violence and to kill cops? (Which there are quite a few out there) Should Trump also be above that because BLM are racists and anti-police and therefore there is no hope? Or should he focus on the external aspects that are causing these violent acts? It us up to everyone in this country to denounce acts of evil, every single person in the media regardless of political party should be denouncing these riots, and not the person who was going to give a speech at the college where the riots happened. Even peaceful protesters who began seeing the escalation of riots may start to lean that way. Do you see what I mean? Fox loves this because it shows how the left is nothing but violent prone people who want to cause pain. CNN loves this because it shows that people are so upset over Trump and the racist Milo, that they had no choice but to demonstrate an expression of rage. Literally right now there is a town hall on MSNBC where a Muslim man is calling for America to stand up to Trump but he failed to mention peaceful. Yes, that should be implied, but now the implication of peace is starting to wain away and the more riots that happen (regardless of those who are doing it) the more that implication is forgotten. We are Americans first, partisans second. We should denounce these acts and not exploit them Edited by Political Piper, Feb 3 2017, 01:05 AM.

Are you sure Trump doesn't eventually want martial law? https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/824080766288228352
You're right, that woman shouldn't have been pepper sprayed, but this is just one case that doesn't translate to anti-Trump protesters as a whole. I also want to turn your attention to this article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/02/02/black-bloc-protests-return-for-trump-era-leaving-flames-broken-windows-from-dc-to-berkeley/ The violence at Berkeley was caused by some random group of anarchists that regularly (though more lately, more frequently) disrupt peaceful protests. It doesn't looks like you've specifically called anti-Trump protestors for this incident, but it seems like that was your motivation for this post. Your frustration should be directed at this group of anarchist a*****, not regular protestors. I also want to mention that there wasn't a single arrest at the DC Women's March: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/peace-positivity-massive-women-s-march-make-voices-heard-d-n710356 Stop blaming protestors wholesale. Common2, I'm assuming you didn't read the all the comments in this thread before you posted? But allow me to respond to your comment. First,
No, I think he would willingly use it. That's why civil unrest is not a smart thing to do. They are giving Trump what he allegedly wants. So instead of ignoring it as a bunch of agitators, you should be upset about it as well. Imagine if nobody got angry over the KKK, you think blacks would have the rights they do now?
Second, there were over 230 arrested on Jan 20th, objects were thrown at police and a limousine was set on fire by a 10 year old boy, Drew Carry's son, ironically enough. Nov 9-27, anti-Trump protests turned violent in Downtown Oakland and Portland with over 40 fires started, police officers injured. DAPL - over 400 arrested from skirmishes with police as well as fires started, hay bales, etc etc. Sep 20-21, Charlotte riots, Auguest 13-15, Milwaukee riots.. and many more.. I know you think every single anti-Trump protester and/or any protester in general is peaceful, but sadly, you would be wrong. As for your other comments, if you would have read the other comments in the thread and not just my first one, you could have saved time by omitting half of your post.
