Would you opt to survive on an island?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

If scientists invented the means to teleport and you could pay to be marooned on a deserted island Castaway style in such a way that if you were critically injured/ill or just had enough that you could be teleported back at any time, would you do it?

I think it'd be really cool to give it a try, just to see if I could do it.

Aside from that, minus the magical teleporting device how do you think you'd fare on a deserted island were you somehow stranded on one?

Flashy Thing!

I would only go if I could bring people with me lol. I wouldn't do on an island alone, I would be so bored.

I think it would be really cool especially if you could bring people with you. But how much am I getting paid?

My impression was that you'd be the one paying for the experience. Sort of like an extreme theme park.

If I had the money, I'd definitely do it. I think it'd be a great experience and it'd just be interesting to see how I'd fare (almost definitely not well, but I'd probably do some research beforehand).

Yeah I guess it'd be something you pay for, unless it was there for research or entertainment purposes.

All these survival reality TV shows could be cool if they weren't staged nonsense. Though cameras being everywhere would sort of ruin the experience I guess, maybe if we had teleportation down by then we'd have discreet cameras.

In any case it'd be really cool if this was a thing and perhaps some sort of coming of age trial people got, such a primal experience would be awesome.
Most people would be useless if there was ever a worldwide disaster that ruined all the conveniences we have. I feel like I'm dying if it's just slightly too hot here in Britain...
Would probably be a big eye opener and make people appreciate what they have more, everyone in the first world has said they were starving at some point but most of us have never known the true meaning of starvation.

If anyone is interested in the genre this topic came to mind because I'm reading a survival manga called...Survival, by Takao Saito. It's pretty cool.
It's about a 14 year old boy trying to survive after some unknown disaster leaves him stranded on an island, most of Japan having apparently sunk under the ocean.
Slightly ridiculous at times since it came out in the 70's but it's been a great read so far nice attention to character growth and every experience the boy has matters.

Although if I was alone for too long I think I'd eventually create a Wilson.
