Especially when it comes to making Vegeta and Bulma look good when considering those two are like the most egocentric and possibly flawed non-bad guys in the series: Vegeta -Let Gero build the androids instead of stopping him... granted Goku is the second prime suspect but Vegeta is much more aggressive and unapologetic about it -Refuses to save baby Trunks and his baby-mama then bluntly states to his future son's face that he doesn't give a s*** about him or his mother -Ignores Trunks' warnings about the androids and selfishly chooses to fight them on his own while dragging the whole time down -Threatens to kill Piccolo for giving the most logical solution about dealing with Cell -Let's Cell absorb #18 just so he can satisfy his battle boner even going as far as to attack his own son -Deliberately let Babidi possess him just so he can settle the score with Goku... in fact, that's the only he helped out with the Babidi situation in the first place -Kills a bunch of people in the WMAT stadium just so his man-crush can notice him -He never hugged his son till his sacrifice Bulma -Wants the dragonballs so she can have the perfect boyfriend -Shoots a little boy first thing after nearly running it over... all without warning or regret for her actions -Bribes said little boy for his four-star dragonball (which happens to be memento to his adoptive grandfather) just to feel up her a*** and tricks him into her adventure only to *bleep* him over in the end -Refuses to help out Umigame to the water because it would slow down their adventure even though it would only take an hour -Shouts out her bust size to Oolong when he has children captive -Forces the tired Oolong to drive while she works on her make-up resume and ignores Oolong's warning about Yamcha -Forces herself into Goku's adventure to face the Red Ribbon Army -Lusts after any man she deems attractive despite being in a relationship... even though she gets pissed when ever a girl as so much as notice Yamcha's existence -Complains about Yamcha never being around even though she's the one who drove him away -Attempts to leave Goku for dead in a collapsing underwater cave -Blames Krillin for something she did (destroying the Saiyan spaceship) -Bitch-tastic display during the Journey to Namek -Complains about having to live in caves even though there's a genocide going on outside it -Basically s***s all over Yamcha's name to her son in the future -Drives a ship into the danger zone with her baby just to look at some androids -Slaps Beerus over her "38th" birthday party... even though she saw him wreck the Z-Warriors and declare having Earth destroyed over pudding -Beats up Jaco for spraying them truth-bullets With all this why do people speak the Son Family's name in vain so much? Sure, they may have made mistakes (mostly Goku) but they never mean harm or were unkind. Do you people just like Jerk Heroes better or is there truth to their words? Even modern stuff within the franchise seems to be really playing into these perceptions within the fandom. Is Goku really the amoral selfish manchild and negligent family man... is Gohan the nerdy loser who's nothing but a disgrace... is Chi-Chi the horrid shrew b*** who needs her head busted wide open? |

Goku is a compassionate person after growing up on earth. He has good intentions but it's just that his judgement is clouded when it comes fighting. That's what we learn his struggle was ever since he let vegeta live. That was the conflict inside him. I don't think it makes him a bad person but it shows that he's not made for earth He got better and better and by the end of the cell games he had completely overcome his saiyan nature. Granted his character has regressed in the Super anime but that's aside from the point For the majority of the series goku is hands down a better person than vegeta Idk what to say about chi chi and bulma. They've both done some stupid things |
