Couldn't see another topic for this, but anybody fans of Rick & Morty?

I'm just about new to the whole thing, and have blitzed season 1, and am now busting through season 2!

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Awesome, awesome show. One of my favourites. The third season can't come soon enough.

Yeah, I love it. I've been slightly freaked out at certain points, but nothing major like some japanese animes. Rick & Morty is definitely gonna be a classic.

I reckon it's one of the finest comedy shows of the last few years. Dan Harmon, being an a***** aside, is phenomenally good at creating laughs and characters worth investing in. Andd the fevered imagination at work when fleshing out the universe is incredible as well.

I really need to give this show a chance. I have a friend who keeps talking about this and I constantly see positive reviews for it. I'm just so stubborn and don't want to admit that this show may be comparable to Futurama (in regards to the quality of comedy).

I started watching this show for the very first time last week because my best friend has been bugging me to do it for an eternity and I'm SO glad I finally gave in. I'm obsessed. It took me an episode or two to get behind the show's very particular humor, but now I can't get enough. One of my fave animated series in a longass time and also one of the most original imo.

I've just started Season 3 and I'm already devastated I'll soon have to wait around for new material to be released like everyone else :'(

Any other similar animated series you guys would recommend? I have watched the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers and now Rick and Morty (and possibly a few more I'm forgetting). I could use a new show to marathon.

It's not a comedy, in fact it's a pretty adult and serious show. You might enjoy it, with all the sci-fi and fantasy being involved. First cartoon to take itself as seriously as this one and first to have any sort of story arc, actually.

I've seen multiple Rick & Morty episodes. Not really my thing, kind of predictable and not that funny, though due to its popularity they've given it a really good dub over here, but that's about all I can comment about it. When my friend showed it to me, even though I had insisted on it not being my thing, he kinda fell asleep, which to me seems like the show is made to pass the time when you're tired and bored in your couch, which is precisely where we were watching it from.

Haven't watched season 3 yet. But I find the best cartoons always have some sort of fantasy/sci-fi/adventure theme to them. Like Futurama and Adventure Time, Rick and Morty offers so much behind the surface. They make really make you think with all the possibilities and stuff.

Someone has been live streaming this show on YouTube a lot lately so I've watched some episodes recently too. I like it enough that I keep watching but things that are supposed to be funny like Rick's constant burping and fart jokes annoy me. It's a pretty solid original show otherwise.

It took me a while to get into it. I always thought the humour was good, but the art style, the way the characters speak, like they're ad-libbing every line, and Rick's constant belching kind of turned me away from it.

I still have those problems with the show, but the more I watch, the more I just got used to it, and there's so much to like about the show that I still find it worth watching.

I watched Gargoyles when I was a kid, unless you're talking about a totally different show or the show's been revamped since then and I never heard about it?

I'm more specifically looking for an adult comedy in the same vein as Rick & Morty, Bob's Burgers and so on. But thanks for the suggestion. Might look into it at some point.

Nah, the 90s show. It holds up incredibly well, there are tons of story arcs, a decent amount of violence with blood, plenty of twists, etc. Same goes for many cartoons of that era (also a few from the early 2000s that tend to get overlooked) that didn't need to be sitcoms ala Simpsons to take risks. I highly recommend it, same goes for Samurai Jack which also has a lot of dark moments, but aims for the artsy side more than the adult side.

I don't really have any adult cartoon comedy to offer... Well, Bojack Horseman I guess? I haven't seen it but I've heard it's good.
