Would you like a short series on Young Roshi?

We never really got to see anything on Young Roshi other than filler flashbacks. Seeing the whole real story would be really cool and it'd be neat to see how Roshi would have really of acted in his youth since he would have been able to ride on the flying nimbus. So how would you guys like to see a short series on Roshi when he was young? Going through his training, attaining power from Korin's Tower, fighting King Piccolo, and developing the Kamehameha wave (even though that's when he was 50, but still young compared to how old he is now).

A short series would be interesting.

Also I have trouble believing Roshi was innocent as a young man.

I'd like to have a side-story series for every character and villain so we get to learn more about them, seeing their adventures and stuff.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I wouldn't mind it, but at this point it'd feel pretty underwhelming with where the series is now. It'd have to be more character-driven than action-driven, and I don't know if Toriyama or Toei could write like that.

Pretty much what Pyrus said. Aged AT doesn't have the capability to write as he used to. If it were him when he was younger, I can see him pulling off excellent short series based on Roshi.

Nah. I'd rather have a short series with bardock and his crew and/or vegeta as a kid

They just need to do what Toriyama did with his Blue Dragon series, give him to another writer who knows what he's doing.

I think the way future dbz material should be made is how Super is made tbh. If toriyama can provide an outline and then either naho ooishi or toyotaro can finish the rest that would be cool

Then it's just going to be a mess until the franchise dies, you do realize that?

We don't want Dragon Ball to end with something as embarassing as DBS.

Why would it be a mess? Naho ooishi and toyotaro's works haven't been bad so far. It's Toei's version of Super that's a mess. If they can just animate strictly what either ooishi or toyotaro draw then it'll be fine

They haven't been good either.

And an anime adaptation of whatever Dragon Ball manga is made is pretty much inevitable.

That's debatable. I thought episode of bardock was cool. Yo return of son goku wasn't bad but you're right it wasn't that great either. Toyotaro's DBS manga is great imo. I'm actually really happy with it so far

And just because there's an animated version of a manga doesn't mean it has to be really different. The manga and anime for episode of bardock weren't that different were they?

I never said they would be different. I just said it would be a mess, not only in the plot (which seems like writers don't care about it anymore, ever since the 2008 OVA which was completely unnecessary and incredibly boring) but in the fact that people will get confused with the anime/manga promoting each other and other nonsense like that. This franchise wasn't made for kids, yet they keep making it more and more childish, and they keep taking it less and less seriously.
