I know usually the response to this is "there's no exact time frame". I think it might be different here though. Look at how fast the blast leaves our sight. In the third panel showing the blast it's already way past the super dragon balls. And then see how when you look through the hole in the dome near hit the blast is already completely out of sight.

There isn't an exact time frame but I mean just looking at everything that happens I don't think it was very long

and each super dragon ball is a little over 37,000 km in diameter which is almost 3x the earth.

But what do you guys think? Is this more conclusive than the other scenes in the old manga that showed blasts going into space?

The problem is that this assumes that the Super Dragon Balls are right next to the planet, and we know they aren't because the planet isn't a large one since Bulma is fine with its gravity. There's some perspective at work there.

What do you mean? The dragon balls were said to be 37,000 km in diameter

Edit: ohh nvm I see what you're saying. I'm not saying look at the trail and measure it with the balls. Obviously that doesn't work. But look at the trail and compare it to the dragon ball they're fighting on

Yeah, but the planet in the scan is a similar size. If it was so large, then the gravity would definitely be too intense for Bulma. So there's perspective at work.

I see what you're saying. I'm not saying look at the trail and measure it with the balls. Obviously that doesn't work since the balls are scattered. But look at the trail and compare it to the dragon ball they're fighting on. That way we can see how far it went since we know how the big the dragon ball they're fight on is. The blast covered like 10 super dragon balls in distance by the second panel and then it's completely out of our sight. So it's covered like 300,000 miles by then

If you take the ball they're fighting on which is about 23,000 miles, multiply that by idk 8? You get 184,000 miles. So unless it covers the distance we see it cover in a second it's not going light speed. But it's still fast. It's still probably going a considerable percent of the speed of light

Idk that's just a quick lolcalc

The Lord of the Dark

It doesn't seem any faster than the usual chi attacks from Z.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Why not? It completely leaves are sight in seconds and we have a way to estimate the distance it traveled
