Don't go about blaming someone else when you can't read or understand a simple thing/question. I was very clear on what I said and you guys just want to twist it around. Need I remind you that I'm the thread starter and can request this locked any day just for the sake of getting rid of stupid people posting on here.

Guys, quit it. You're both behaving unnecessarily, just stick to the topic please. I gotta go to work and I don't feel like warning people or junking posts, so just cut the s***, m'kay?

There's no such thing as an unbreakable relationship bond. What if they killed every member of your family? Extreme example, but there's always a line to be crossed.
What if the family member was with the friend in a car accident, killed, and it wasn't the friend's fault, but the other driver's?
Then that isn't Mitas's example? Maybe in the letter of what he said but certainly not in the spirit of the statement.

As for my own opinion, they don't, friendship's take some effort to maintain, close ones as will as more distant ones. At least in my own opinion I've never really had a friendship I can describe as unbreakable, as far as I can tell you have to chose to maintain them and cherish them and keep them close to you.
No it's not. He meant actual killing. There are times when you're driving a friend's family member to somewhere, but the friend's family member gets killed due to car accident that was not your fault, but the other driver that ran into you.
If it wasn't their fault then they didn't kill the family member in question. Again, that's not Mitas' example you described in any way. Mitas example was quite simply "what if they killed every member of your family" with the implication that is a crossed line, meaning it probably wasn't something out of their own control but something that was their fault and their decision. I'm fairly certain Mitas shouldn't need to specify "What if they explicitly murdered every member of your family in such a way that it was clearly their own choice with them being the primary reason they are dead," when he's trying to say that there is always a line to be crossed.

What you are describing is not them killing a member of your family, what you are describing is a car accident they survived but the family member didn't. The only way they are meaningfully connected is that someone died. It's a completely different example from the one Mitas spoke of.

The irony is strong with this one.

Well if they killed even one of my family members and it wasn't out of their control and could've controlled themselves, then no I wouldn't forgive. But I beg to question if you would forgive someone for a death of a family member if it wasn't intentional...

@Mitas, I think it's time for me to add someone to the ignore list, but who should it be?

That's lame. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you should shun them. I don't really see any trolling here, just a pointless disagreement over something completely unimportant.

Wow, you'd put me on an ignore list for that? There must be a pretty hefty number of people on that list if that's all it takes.

All I was saying is you were extremely quick to accuse OMG of not being able to understand a 'simple' thing, yet seemed to fail to understand my pretty simple example.

I wouldn't know as I've never been through such a traumatic event, my grandmother died of cancer but that wasn't anyone's fault. I hope I'd be able to not blame them for what happened, but I'm not gonna make unfounded claims for something that extreme.

Me, if that's all it's gonna take to upset you considering your own conduct at plenty of points.
