Will lowering screen resolution on a mobile device (laptop or cellphone) result in significant savings in the battery department? I believe the Galaxy S7 (maybe the note) can reduce the screen resolution with it's battery saving mode but would that alone really make a difference?

Google Chrome Favourite Manga DragonBall [Z, S], Legend of Zelda	Not sure on resolution, but I know the brightness definitely takes in effect. I have an iPhone 6+ and I use it on very low brightness in addition to the Low Power mode. With normal settings, I used to get about 10 hours of life from a full charge with my uses. Now, I get almost two full days! I also have the Night Shift mode ON at all times.

It's not something I've thought about until recently, maybe it'll take time before enough data is collected and made available online.
