In the first two Budokai games, Trunks played extremely similar to Vegeta though Budokai 2 did give him a few distinct moves. Not till Budokai 3 where he started to become his own character as he now actually incorporates some sword combos that can frame trap your opponent and is very effective but especially difficult to pull off combo cancel, a different k<k combo (it's actually one shared with several characters like #18, Yamcha, and Dr. Gero) which is an infinite, a more versatile neutral ppp>P chain, and so on. Future Budokai-style games take it a step rather and add in a bunch of sword moves. I didn't care for him too much in the Spike games as his sword attacks were pretty much reduced to a mere aesthetic rather than a viable option. I did use "Future Trunks" but only because of his rush supers looked badass. So... how was the Saiyan bishonen in Xenoverse? |
