Why can't Bandai Namco change the way that SSJ affects characters in Dragon ball games?

Xenoverse 1 was a good game but when you turn super saiyan, it doesn't raise your stats but makes you spam super/ultimate moves. Why won't the developers remove or change that and make super saiyan a worthy transformation? By the time you transform and still struggle against weaker characters, something is just wrong! And plus, devs seem like they just started watching DBZ yesterday and don't know what super saiyan does.

Well in Xenoverse 2 Super Saiyan does increase attack power and makes you teleport towards enemy with light attacks (and certain super moves).

It should up your stats more. Are they trying to move away from super/ultimate moves spam now?

Yes
I believe that stamina and everything else should go up also, not just the attack power. That's how it is in the manga.

The Super Saiyan Transformation does increase most of your stats. I thinks it's something like this,

SSJ

Attack = +2% of your Attack Stat
Ki = +1% of your Ki Stat
SSJ also reduces all damage taken by 10% (Your Durability is increased)
And your Ki skill cost is 0 when in SSJ

SSJ2

Attack = +5% of your Attack Stat
Ki = +2% of your Ki Stat
SSJ2 also Reduces all damage taken by 10%
And your Ki skill cost is also 0 when in SSJ2

Oh yeah, your Strike Supers and Ki Blast Supers are also increased but I don't remember by how much though.

I agree that the stats increment for the Super Saiyan Transformations are ridiculously low in this game. But, I think it's because Xenoverse let's players choose races other than the Saiyans to play as and it is also because Xenoverse has the multiplayer aspect to it. They could increase the stats by a lot while using the transformations but then they would have to overpower the Kaioken power ups (and Kid buu's power up) ridiculously to match the Saiyan Transformations to keep all of them balanced. Which in the end will result in the same feeling of using the Saiyan Transformations as now.

Are you talking about Xenoverse 1 or 2? And regarding the multiplayer thing, they can use the system just to find players who match your character attributes and stats. You don't necessarily have to challenge weaker players. The biggest problem I have with Xenoverse 1 is when someone like Vegito goes super saiyan, he's still overpowered by android 18 and his super kamehameha has no effect on her either.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Have you ever played games like Raging Blast though?

Vegito in those games was f***ing annoying.

It makes no sense for any SSj to lose to a crappy Saiyan Saga opponent but for the sake of game balance it'd suck if it was close to the real series, one shotting everyone as Vegito would be boring.

Being able to utterly stomp everyone as Vegito even without one shots is horrendous balance too.

I played against high level players on the Raging Blast games and it just sucks, you simply can't win against characters like Vegito because they were far too tough.

The thing with Xenoverse is that they not only should make super saiyan transformations more useful, but they also need to give us better AI allies too. And also, despite the love I have for Xenoverse, I might give it a 6/10 thanks to the ridiculous double teaming in 99% of the quests/missions along with the useless AI allies. How does it make any sense that a super saiyan God Goku or super saiyan 2 created character still struggle with non-transformed opponents? I want transformations to up stats only for quests/missions. But for multiplayer, that's a different story. They can still balance it out with the matching system can't they?

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

They had to balance out transformations from other races. Saiyans may have more transformations in the game, but they're not as powerful as other transformations.

However, one thing I think they should've done for Xenoverse 2 is created an Oozaru transformation alternative to Super Saiyan. It could've run on the same engine as the Giant Namek transformation.

People get mad because Nameks spam the Giant Form, but my main character is Namekian and I don't like using the Giant form. Giant is only real useful against opponents on the TB stage because they can't escape from you. Once your stamina tanks, you lose the form, and Nameks have low stamina from the start anyway, so you only end up holding the form for less than 10 seconds on average.

I don't think you need to balance transformations when it comes to parallel quests, they should do that only for online battle purposes.
