It truly was a Shawshank redemption

We have the 2016/17 Season topic, but we usually have a separate one for European football and I don't think one has been created yet. They were drawn in an easy group, but I'm still surprised Leicester have looked as formidable as they have with 3 wins from 3. Especially with their uninspiring start to the Premiership campaign (although I guess they're probably not too bothered about that since they've already won the thing and most likely didn't expect to challenge again). Hopefully they draw somebody big in the last 16.

Yeah, that's an absolutely crazy scoreline. How often do you concede four, but still win by four?

Well, this topic never took off like last year, but the Champions League knockouts started up today. Barcelona are being spanked 4-0 as I type this. That has to be them out which is a shock considering how early it is, but PSG is such a tough draw in the opening knockout stages. Basically a semi-final (or final) caliber match in the last 16. Still, don't often see Barca humbled like this. Benfica look like they'll finish 1-0, which makes the 2nd leg of that game an interesting one that I might try and watch.

Real Madrid and Juventus are halfway there. Eager to see if Real will break through Juventus' impenetrable defense.

Two finals in three years is great for Juventus. They never really get grouped in the same breath as Real, Barcelona, & Bayern, but they should be. Like you said, they should prove tough to break down in the final (assuming they get there) and won't make it easy on Madrid.
