Sorry I didn't provide a 100% comparable example buddy. You seem to have followed my argument in spite of my sloppiness, which is great.

Of course there are things which can be said are not good in movies. Just as there are things which can be said which are good. So we basically said the same thing, you just picked the negative slant on it. I'm not saying Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect movie, just a good one, in spite of your disapproval. I think you've got to stop taking topics in the Entertainment Section a bit lighter, you sort grind on a lot of people acting like an absolute authority on everything..

My Dear Melancholy,

Darker you insane. GOTG was easily Marvel's top 5 movies. Obviously compared the the best Winter Solider or the First Avengers movies it's not as good. But it's a fun movie.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Top 5 really?

Disregarding earnings(not that I've checked) I don't see how, it was fun but the story wasn't all that and the characters were pretty average. Rocket and Drax are the only ones that have any interesting backstory to them currently.

And the villain was pretty meh.

Not sure if anyone has said but the trailer is set to debut tomorrow.
Time to probably be spoiled on every important detail.

Wrong on both counts Steve. Out rn and we also learned very little about the plot.

Ah just seen that, well trending thingies were saying tomorrow anyways.

I actually kind of prefer Groot like that...

I hope Drax actually does something interesting in this one besides his regular bit of being a burly idiot.

I don't go into depth. I grade the movies based on how much I smiled or enjoyed movies. Loved the character's chemistry. Music helped. Had me smiling so I gave it top 5.

Flashy Thing!

So who's seen the movie?! I'll be going tomorrow to see the movie. I decided to be nice and wait until a friend was available to watch it for the first time with her.

I hope there wasn't a more recent topic and I missed it.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I saw it yesterday. I thought it was alright, not as good as the first. I can't quite put my finger on why. It felt a little messy plot-wise and the humour felt a little too 'tryhardy' this time around. Decent, but a lot more forgettable than the first time around.

Batista continued to steal the show as Drax though. He was the highlight of the movie.

The Lord of the Dark

Was he really?

He and the others ruined every single dramatic scene with the dumbest jokes I could've heard in a Marvel movie (obviously censored to an extent), just like the first one. One can't have that if a movie (comedy or not) is actually trying to take itself serious. Worst thing about it, as usual, is the villain, except this time they chose yet another favourite of mine and did him dirty... Again.

Ego shares a few aspects here and there with his original comic book counterpart (sort of), but the fact that we only see the actual Living Planet part of him for a few seconds is irritating. How can anyone call this movie good when they insult one of Jack Kirby's most unique characters like that? I wasn't expecting to like this movie, but really?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

......yes. For me. Hence me saying so (reviews generally speak highly of his performance too). He got the biggest laughs of any character in the cinema I watched it in, and people I've talked to who have seen the film share the same sentiment.

I agree that the comedy ruined certain scenes (hence my 'tryhard humour' comment), but at the end of the day, that's what they set out to do. It's a comedy with some serious scenes, not a serious film with some comedic scenes.

I definitely think they tried too hard to one up the first movie in terms of music and comedy and overdid it. The comedy in my opinion was the most overboard. The whole TazerFace joke seemed to go on forever and really wasn't that funny.

Yeah, that and the 'who has tape?' scene really didn't work at all.
