I think one of them was involved in a stabbing or something so now people think they're all killers but that was probably some crazy guy that copied them or vice versa. I don't get the point...in the US too, where lots of people have guns. People are going to get paranoid and it won't be funny for them when they get shot.

Given the fact that it's America, they're putting themselves and others at serious risk. A lot of people are scared of clowns, and some have pretty severe phobias of them, so all a clown needs to do is scare someone who has a gun on them and that's that.

I suppose it'd be a lot safer if these clowns tried to scare people on another country, where they don't give guns to random civilians. In fact I believe there are videos of clowns doing this in some other country, Italy I believe.

There's no evidence that the kids even saw a clown or clowns, but it gained speed and now I assume that 95% of the Clowns now are people just trolling others because they're bored and it's something for kicks. Although it is freaky because I don't really like Clowns. Inside a circus or fair is one thing, but one walking down the street is just weird and unsettling. There's just something unnerving about endless happiness, simply because we are taught as children to not trust strangers who would use something that makes us happy to try to lure us. It would be a completely different story if these people were dressed up as Dracula or something because they're at least showcasing a (probably fake) harmful intention. The clown in North Carolina three years ago was arrested and explained his want to do it as just wanting to give people a scare and get them on edge for laughs, literally just doing it so people would have something to talk about. Another case of the clowns was an art project, with them later on doing the same thing but as a Plague Doctor. There's not much more to it, sans the copycats actually doing anything murderous.
