This is the official thread where we talk about everything related to Telltale's Batman game.
I suppose there's already a ton of stuff to talk about considering there are already two episodes out.

Personally, it's an interesting alternate version of the Batman we all know, throwing its own unique elements here and there, and emphasizing on one of Batman's most underrated aspects (at least nowadays), his detective skills and strategies. I find this game's story to be very good and intriguing, much like a crime story, which are usually the best stories when it comes to Batman, the Scooby Doo mysteries.

The thing that caught my attention the most is that this game's artstyle was inspired by Greg Capullo's (who has worked with Todd McFarlane's Spawn, and do I even need to say more), Neal Adams (who's practically a comic book legend and is responsible for my favourite Batman design) and Jim Lee, who is undoubtedly one of the greatest comic book artists of all time.

With all that as an inspiration, I find it a bit disappointing that there's hardly any color in this game. It's very grey, very gritty and moody, not exactly gothic or filled with fog and darkness everywhere, so it doesn't really fit Gotham imo. I'm most disappointed on Batman. He's better than most of what we've gotten lately in comics, shows and movies but where's the grey and blue in his costume? I suppose they're trying to go with a darker approach, but at least give the armor a little grey, or make the ears bigger.

Overall, good game so far.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Gender Neutral, meaning I don't want to be specified to either gender. If you keep calling me by gender terms, I'm just going to call you an "it". That's all.

There's only one episode left (I think), the game's gotten popular enough so I believe it's time to bump this thread.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Haven't watched the second half of episode 5 yet but the rest of it ranges from good to great to meh to wha...?

I'm glad I don't play these games but they can be good to watch, have enjoyed these ones even though the story is a bit weird at times.

It's nice that they pay attention to Bruce Wayne not just Batman the more recent movies haven't really done much to that effect, live action ones at least.

Bits like that weren't particularly well written and then others were so it was kinda odd it's like they got a good writer to do most of it then interns to fill in the blanks.

A lot of people in episode 4 didn't choose to go help Alfred...monsters!

Well, they need the plot to keep moving and they need the villain to feel big.

It makes more sense than Bane's massive squadron from TDKR, at least Harvey tricked some of the policemen into believing his phylosophy. Mainly the dull-witted ones, of course.

even though a Mayor doesn't have that sort of power

Steve what are you talking about? Do you knot read the comics or watch the cartoons? The mayor of Gotham ALWAYS had this much power if not more. Actually the game is pretty close to how much power the Mayor got in the comics.

Even Arkham Origin's covered how corrupt and much power the mayor has. You ever heard of Hamilton Hill? I know he's pre crisis but sheesh. If you want a modern Batman mayor read up on Sebastian Hady. These people done worst than the mayor in the game. That's just two of about THREE dozens of mayors Batverse had over the years.

I really like Catwoman figuring out who Batman is right away and I especially like how they don't chicken s*** out of the Wayne's not being the best of people. Whenever anything else implies this they leave it vague or prove it was a conspiracy but I really like the fact Bruce has to use Batman to not just fix his city, but kind of atone for the s*** his family did instead of living up to this idealized version of them.
